Does Robotech actually have it's on rulebooks or are you using BESM?

Robotech has its own books put out by Palladium. I am in if you do GM it.

There is no chance in hell of us getting those books here, we might be lucky Sponkle, the Tin does have some Palladium books but largely MechWarrior or resources. :(

I will say however that BESM is perfect for Robotech, infact in many ways my game First Place uses the same rules which would make a Robotech game Robotech. It supports any type of character, alien or not, you can create any type of Mecha, and its a very simple system.

Or alternately you can use the d20 mecha rules in polyhedron they seem pretty easy.

Get BESM instead it is the same but has broad enough rules for you to make any anime type game.

I won't be buying the robotech books, also isn't the mech stuff in polyhedron expanded rules for d20 modern?

It is and isn't. It is a setting like Omega world. As for the Robotech books I have most of the in pdf format on my hardrive as well as BESM.
