One More Curiosity Thread: Star Wars?

Okay, here's a question that's been bugging me for a while (and thus, I'm surprised I've not asked it before now): would a Star Wars adventure be a popular choice on this site?

The game I had in mind (eventually) would be set after the events of Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords. It'd follow the rebuilding of the Jedi Knights, the recovery of the Republic, and the many, many other events that occur in the 3,000-4,000 years preluding the Battle of Yavin.

I would not be using the d20 system, but would in fact be using the West End Games (Revised and Expanded) rules for the game. Anyone who's used this system will no doubt agree that it'd not only be easier to use in a pbp, but also heightens the danger and epic feel of a Star Wars game.

Any opinions are welcome.

The last Star Wars game I tried to get involved in got cancelled, so I am definitely interested. But, despite my interest in the Star Wars canon, I've never really read much EU, and I haven't played Knights of the Old Republic. From what little I know though, that is probably the time period I'd most be interested in.

I also don't know anything about the ruleset you mentioned. I might be able to get a hold of them in a few months, but would likely only do so if I can confirm that this game will start and I will use them.

All you really need to know of KotOR era is that it's almost exactly like the prequel trilogy, except that everything is made of the lightsaber resistant mineral known as Kortosis and the empire already exists, but since they're supposed to be the Sith some of them get lightsabers and force powers. Oh, and the storm troopers are shiny and metallic instead of white.

I'd love to play a Star Wars game. Just not KotOR.

Just that I've got a whole lot of game books at home, and I'm trying to sort out which one would be worth playing on here (not to mention which would be popular enough to consider).

I was gonna run a SW game until life got in the way, and I had two characters already, based off a "I'm thinking about doing this" post. ;)
