View Full Version : Conflict Metathread

Per Tag's idea, this thread is for posting conflict rolls. I'll be keeping a tight rein on posting here, so please don't post any rolls unless a) I ask you to or b) it's obvious that it's your turn to roll.

Thanks!

Raziel's roll to thrust at Iraj: [roll0][roll1][roll2]

Well, that's a little bit better.

Darius, you're up. Roll your reply and we'll see who narrates the next bit (i.e. whoever rolls higher).

Raziel's response: [roll0][roll1][roll0]

Hmm. A tie. Let me look that up and then I'll post in the IC later today.

Not a tie - 6 ties 6, and 5 beats 4. Raziel wins. (I think)

Yup! Lower die breaks ties. Thanks Cheese.

With Violence: [roll0]+[roll3] = 9
Directly: [roll1]
Possessed: [roll2]
Advantage: +[roll3] to highest

Oof. Raziel took the advantage in the last round. Round 2 begins -- roll to see who's turn it is to narrate first. Good luck, Darius.

That means I narrate first, correct?

Sweet Jesus. Raziel just can't catch a break! :-)

Your roll stands; narrate how you respond and I'll give the last roll and response for round two to see who takes the advantage.

I also forgot that we can stop in between rounds and negotiate outcomes. We'll do that after round two--sound good?

Fine by me. Don't be expecting much in the way of leniency though.

Directly: [roll1] +4 = 9
Possessed: [roll2]

So not enough to double, but I take advantage.

Croaker

Correct.

May I negotiate? How about instead of losing further dice, Raziel breaks free from possession for a moment and tells you what he knows of the demon's plan before escaping?

Also keep in mind that we can negotiate for many things, including changing what forms we're using for the current. Either one of us can default to negating such terms, though, just like any other negotiations.

Darius

I accept- but even if you accept Raziel loses a die from self-protection (the sword is consequential).

I think you have to win the third round for that outcome. If we're negotiating mid-dice and come to an agreement, I don't think that counts as either of us "winning", from what I see in the rules.

What say you?

Darius

I have to agree with you. I withdraw my offer, and would like to go a third round

For myself: [roll0]
With Violence: [roll1] +5 =15
Sword: [roll2]
Advantage: [roll3]

Cripes. Here goes.

With Violence: [roll0]
Directly: [roll1]
Possessed: [roll2]

Your dice stand. Go ahead and narrate your advantage--the last roll is on me. I'll post it after you post in the IC thread.

EDIT: Although I might as well not roll. I can't beat a 15 and in the third round there is no middle ground. Raziel loses!

How about Raziel breaks free for a moment, tells you what he knows of the demon's plot, and then escapes after losing a die size from his Self-Protection (thanks to your blade)?

I accept. For a lowly soldier Iraj held his own rather well, especially given the supernatural nature of his opponent.

Croaker

Held your own? Dude, you effed him up!

Posting now.
