Hi everyone,

I want to sincerely apologize for my absense the past 5 months. I dissapeared... without a word. I left the players of the game I was about to start hanging... without a word.

Some of you even cared enough to worry about my health and well-being. I appreciate that.

It was a jerk move to dissapear without a word like that. Again, I am truly sorry.

Life has its curve balls and it seemed like every pitch I was thrown was a curve ball lately. I have gotten through this tough time though and feel that I should come back here to at least say I'm sorry.

I have enjoyed being a part of this community for the past four years. I have played in a number of games and even saw one through to its conclusion (which is quite rare as you all know.) I have started four games, none of them making it past the first couple scenes (if that) and for that I feel like I have failed you all. I had high hopes for my last game. I had solid players and a good idea. Then the walls came crashing down around me.

I'm not going to go into details, but suffice it to say that I was strapped for time and mental energy.

I am better now though. Since last October I have moved, met the woman of my dreams, and started taking classes again in pursuit of my associates degree. I am stable and level-headed now.

Again, I am truly sorry and hope you can all understand and forgive me. I had a storm come my way, but I have weathered it and come out stronger than ever before. I hope that you can all welcome me back into the folds of your community with as little punishment as possible.

Thank you,
Joshua Knight

It happens. We bad mouth you behind your back for a few days once we notice and then we forgive and forget starting a hundred new games doomed to fail.

I'm curious what game here made it to its conclusion.

Also, it's always good to know that you didn't actually die. I'm fairly sure my first ever PBP died a few days in due to a DM-fatality.

Thank you for your understanding. Indeed, it happens.

The Darnathian Prophecies, which started as the Quick Post Scenarios, played all the way through to its conclusion. And it looks like coffee... er, HedgeKnight, is planning on starting that game back up. It was finished though insofar as how far he planned the game to go.

I have left instructions to a close friend of mine a long time ago that should anything ever happen to me that they should contact all my friends and companions online in addition to those I know in RL (I always thought that reference was dumb, considering how even though we communicate online it is still Real Life). I included my username and password for this site in addition to my emails, myspace, facebook, and so forth. I did this after a friend of mine passed away and his myspace just sat dead forever. I didn't want anyone to wonder about me. So, if I pass away you guys will know. I also included in the envelope instructions on what to say. It sits safely in a safety deposit box in Seattle along with some of my valuable trinkets I've collected over the years.

I will work up that adventure again and contact my players to see if there is still interest. I need an outlet besides reading in my life and to get back into the swing of things here would be great.

Dude, allow me to show you my mausoleum of games. I have the WORST luck getting things going. Actually I think we all do.
