Serenity or Galactica anyone?

Hello. I was wondering if anyone was either running a game in either of these settings and in need of an additional player or would be interested in playing in or running one.

I have the official books for both and like the system but it doesn’t have to be that if someone can walk me through something else (Obviously not an option if I wind up running it). The system is pretty easy and I can teach people if needed.

A little about me, I have about three years of RP experience, pretty much all of it freeform over various Livejournal type sites. I’ve never played with a system before but I have co modded games.

So. Any thoughts folks?

Wired*Nun is running a Serenity game, but it has sort of slowed down the last couple of months. Hopefully we will get back up to speed soon. I'd be interested in playing in a BSG game.

Nice to see someone posting about the Cortex system.

I would certainly play in a Serenity or BSG game as I own both rule books.

Yeah, uses the Cortex system. Supposedly the BSG system is more fully fleshed out than the Serenity one though.

Well I found someone else interested in BSG off site. If you want to play and don’t mind the fact that I’ve never GMed before post and list the following in your order of preference and we’ll play the most popular.

Resistance on Picon: PCs play the major members of a group similar to Ander’s only on a different colony.

New Caprica: Pretty Self explanatory.

Battlestar Colombia: Completely new fleet.

Alternate Galactica: Characters play beside, as, or replacing the better known characters of the fleet.

In all cases the main Seven cylons and if we get that far, final five, will be different people to preserve paranoia.

Once we total four players not counting me I’ll put in a request, might go higher to flesh out the crew though.

Yes, the BSG RPG is much more refined Cortex system and its got ship combat rules that were missing in Serenity.

I'm in agreement with Fulmen and like the same order.

Ok, so talking to the third player I think it's safe to say Columbia's the winner. I'd still like a fourth but I'll put in the request for a forum so we can start character creation and basic plotting.
