The Comma button on my keyboard has died from continual senseless beatings :( This is bad as I use it alot when posting and now my posts are bombarded with semi-colon's which is not good :(

Try holding the ALT key down and pressing 44 on the numeric keypad, then let ALT up. Not elegant, but it works :)

Or, alternatively, hold the "ALT" and "Fn" buttons and press "U" twice, then release the "ALT" and "Fn" buttons.

Hmm wait, this only goes for Toshiba craptops :)

depending on how your keyobard is built you may be able to swap the little key thingies
just exchnage the one under capslock (the devil key) for the comma

Or you can loot an old keyboard from someone else. I'm sure you know someone that has spare keyboards. If all else fails, buy a new one. They aren't very expensive when compared to the other hardware components.

Like hard disks (4th one crashed yesterday)...

Dang Lee! You need to get yourself a new HD vendor! Do you use all the same brand (so I know never to get them?) or are you just getting what's the best bang-for-the-buck?

I'm getting the best of the best, but I have never had luck with anything...

I have somewhere around the number of 3 keyboards.

It seems I've found the cause of the harddisk crashes...

The computer's internal power output was too irregular; whenever it went too low, the harddisk would simply stop spinning (and the needle would scratch the magnetic disks). Too many of these scratches and harddisks go boom...

Must get me those 2 new harddisks in a raid now...

Cad could I buy/or borrow one of your keyboards? If they work :)

Wow Lee... that's an obscure one. Don't hear about that happening too often! Glad you got it pinned down now!
<makes mental note to check power-supply's when drives go bad...>

I splurged out on a new keyboard and now have full use of the comma key :)

and yet, no comma in his post, isn't that strange ?

indeed it is, but ask, is it wise to use the comma (,) as much as in this post, maybe not, but it humorous. Well, I think it is. :D

Maybe, but I am just so damn happy to have my comma key back :)
